Co-authored Understanding by Design and co-author with Carol Tomlinson of Integrating Differentiated Instruction and Understanding by Design.

Research interests include issues associated the accountability, including the effects of high-stakes testing; teachers use of assessment techniques, assessment of children, identification of gifted students, program evaluation, and research methodology.

Author of numerous books, including The Differentiated Classroom, How to Differentiate in Mixed-Ability Classrooms, Differentiating in Practice.

Join teachers from across New York State to learn how to design high-quality instructional practices using standards-based criteria and attributes. Participants will learn about the instructional design teachers use to address varying ability levels within the classroom. The conference features three nationally-known presenters in the field of differentiated learning, and numerous K-12 educators and practitioners who will share how they use differentiation in the classroom.
